GARDENING CLUB – An Alternative Kitchen Garden

We’re delighted to welcome Michael D. Myers — an acclaimed plantsman, horticulturist and long‑standing Alpine Garden Society speaker — to the Institute for an inspiring talk: “An Alternative Kitchen Garden.”
Michael brings a wealth of experience, holding multiple horticultural qualifications, including Dip Hort (RHS), HND, BSc (Hons), MSc, MHort (RHS), CBiol, MSB, MCIHort, FLS, PGCE. He is well‑known within the gardening community for his engaging illustrated lectures and expert understanding of plant cultivation.

Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Michael has delivered dozens of well-regarded lectures for gardening groups across the UK. He is also active on social media as “Snowdropman”, where he shares his passion for unusual plants, bulbs, and botanical curiosities.
He regularly presents on topics ranging from alpines to woodland plants, hardy orchids, pruning and propagation, and (of course) snowdrops — including AGS Snowdrop Day talks and seasonal lectures.
