Throughout the year the committee arrange a number of event for villagers, people from surrounding villages and visitors. these range from our popular breakfasts to our summer party on the green. All proceeds raised at our event go to the upkeep and improvements to the Institute building and surrounding grounds.
We also apply for funding grants where possible. These, along with the fundraising has what has helped to construct the new extension that has recently been added to the hall. This additional space has given us updated, accessible toilet facilities, a meeting room space, much needed storage and disabled access to the venue
Our fund raising activities don’t stop there. We always have work to do and there is also the running costs that we need to cover. the next things we need to raise funds for are:-
- A new dishwasher
- Painting refresh for the main hall
- Roof repairs
- Maintenance of the wooden floor.
Fundraising is a never ending task.
